Recycled Plastic Pallets

Each pallet is manufactured from new or recycled HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) or Polypropylene. We naturally favour recycled materials and wherever possible, all plastic pallets will be manufactured from high quality materials whether they are recycled or not.

The vast majority of our plastic pallets are 100% recyclable too!

Plastor stocks both UK and EU standard sizes, in a couple of configurations.

Standard pallets with runners and air gaps and hygienic pallets, with standard runners and no gaps.

We also stock lightweight pallets and wheeled pallets for heavier loads. The wheeled pallets include a built-in dolly for the ultimate in transportation convenience.

All plastic pallets are constructed to be true to size and include the main configurations you look for in a pallet. Some will have standard pallet configuration while others have a flat surface, specifically for hygienic storage and transport of goods.

Advantages of plastic pallets

Plastic pallets have a few advantages over wooden pallets. We firmly believe they are the new way to store and transport goods.

For one, they are exempt from ISPM15 regulations for import and export. That makes life easier for anyone transporting goods between countries!

Second, they are lighter than wood and can handle spills, chemicals and damage better. As HDPE is naturally stain, odour and chemical resistant, only the harshest treatment will damage the pallet.

Some plastic pallets can also nest inside each other when empty. Something wooden pallets cannot do easily. If space is an issue, plastic pallets can sometimes offer storage efficiencies no wooden pallet can match!

Finally, plastic pallets can handle much heavier weights than wooden pallets. Wood has stricter weight limits to take into account flaws in the grain. Something you don’t have to do with plastic.

While plastic may not seem the most responsible option, we firmly believe they are. Many pallets are manufactured using recycled materials and all can be fully recycled once they have reached their much longer operating life!
